THE PROGRAM
More often than not we receive requests from participants to combine subjects and training areas. For example, a film scorer these days is expected to master sound design and mixing in order to be competitive . A recording engineer may want to also learn songwriting to grow into a producer, capable of coaching artists about song choice and form. The possibilities are endless, thus we work with each participant on a customized level so that the training program matches their goals.

Our staff consists of actively working engineers, producers and composers established at Blink Music. You'll learn from professionals that are on top of their game and enthusiastic about their work. FITS instructors are active scorers, recording engineers, sound designers, producers,
writers and performers.
Tim records, produces, and masters professionally both in Europe and the United States. He is a graduate of Germany’s prestigious Tonmeister program, considered to be the most intensive music-engineering program in the world. Tim was invited to the Berklee College of Music as a Fulbright Scholar, graduating with a triple major in Music Production, Piano Performance, and Composition. Tim has freelanced in world-class recording facilities before founding Blink Music in Boston, he has worked with top international producers, artists and engineers within a variety of musical styles, contributing to his diverse range as a producer. He frequently writes and co-writes for artists and composes for musical theater, film and videogame scores.
Tim Lukas is also head coach of the peak performance-training program Functional Life Coaching. Functional Life Coaching can provide an additional value for students and helping them to overcome obstacles that may prevent the achievement of goals that would be otherwise within reach.
PROGRAM HISTORY
FITS was originally designed for training Blink Music's engineers and scorers. It quickly grew and gained a positive reputation for being a highly effective training program for up and coming engineers.
FITS includes elements of the world’s most prestigious studio engineering and production training, the German TONMEISTER Degree program. At the Tonmeister Training, students are mentored by highly regarded industry professionals, producers and recording engineers. Tonmeister students spend more time in real life recording productions than in any other program worldwide.
